Friday Highlights- 100 Boys- Otis McDaniel (SA Taft) and Hugh Charles (Keller) dominated the prelims. McDaniel (10.90) and Charles (10.84). It was evident that it would be a two man race in the Finals. 4x800 Boys- State leader SA Reagan (07:52.93) faced off against stiff competition in Keller and Eagle Pass. There were plenty of lead changes in this race. Keller's Hunter Garner came from 20m back to catch SA Reagan anchor leg winning 8:05.18 to 8:05.71. A very exciting race. Saturday Highlights- Distance Relay Girls- The day started out with a bang with both Distance Relays. The Lake Travis Girls dominated the girls race running an elite time of 12:30.69 which puts them 4th in the state. Distance Relays Boys- The boys had a close race with SA Reagain, SA Churchill, and Eagle Pass contending for the title. SA Churchill had a great anchor leg by Jay Wilson to edge out SA Reagan 10:41.46 to 10:43.01. Both teams barely missing the Elite mark of 10:40 400 Girls- The race featured Angel Williams (Claredon) Angel posted an elite mark in the final of 56.80. She looked very smooth coming down the homestretch. 100H Girls- Whitney Holmes continued here great season with an easy 14.59. Whitney is ranked 8th in the state. 400 Boys- An exciting showdown between Quentin Summers (SA Madison) and David Schwein (CC Carroll). The battle resulted in Summers winning 48.16 to 48.70 in an exciting finish. The time earns Quentin the top spot in Texas. Other Notables-
