The entire state of Maryland was demoralized when the new comers from Georgia had the audacity to steal the crown they invented: the coveted Burrito Mile World Record. To be sure, they intend to go for pride on June 2, 2007 when they will host a sanctioned Burritolympic meet.

The meet will feature both the Burrito Mile (possibly multiple heats) and the 4×8urrito Relay race. This will be the first day both events have been held at the same meet. The first race will go off at 5PM at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland on June 2. Everyone is invited to attend.

Will a new world record be set? Will the crown return to Maryland? Or possibly will an out-of-stater take part (Virginians are you listening??) and upset both states? We’ll find out!
