A note of importance from Walt Murphy on the TV coverage for the World Championships: 

"By the time ABC finalized its contract with the IAAF to cover the World Championships, the time schedule for the meet had already been firmly established. Unfortunately, tonight's (Sunday's) final of the men's 100 takes place after ABC is off the air, but it will be shown on Monday night as part of ESPN2's coverage.  

A similar situation occurs next Sunday, when the men's 1500, both 4x400 relays, and the men's 4x100 relay take place after ABC goes off the air at 4pm(MT). To make sure that those events are shown, ESPN2 has added an extra hour of coverage, from 10-11pm(ET)."
