Pain Relief and Physical Therapy
Pain Relief & Physical Therapy has grown over 7 years
from one 300 square foot facility and one therapist to 8 therapists and
two state of the art facilities. We are located in Media and Concordville,
PA. Our specialty is one on one manual therapy techniques which have proven
highly effective for a variety of problems affecting joints, muscles, ligaments
and nerves. Our occupational and physical therapists use the advanced techniques
of passive joint mobilization and neural mobilization for an assortment
of musculoskeletal injuries. We also specialize in cardiovascular, strength,
flexibility, sports specific and recreational performance enhancement training.
Our goal is to respond to each client situation individually and in a manner
consistent with our advanced training.
Our strength and conditioning program, "Thunder and Lightning"
allows the athlete or fitness client to work with one of our trained professionals.
We work with local high school, college, and recreational athletes. We
can customize the "Thunder and Lightning" program for any sport or sport
position including track & field and cross country.
Briefly, a proper strength training program changes as
the season progresses. Components of a strength-training program are modified
during the season and include; the amount of weight lifted, sessions per
week, repetitions, sets, and rest between sets, exercises and exercise
technique. These changes will vary depending on a variety of factors including
time of season (off, pre, competition and championship phases), sport
activity and goals of the athlete. Our staff is well qualified and experienced
to manipulate these variables thereby achieving optimum benefits. We work
with individuals, groups and teams. If our locations offer convenience,
please call and we will help put a little "Thunder and Lightning" in your
performance.
