Learn-By-Doing Throws Camp @ North Allegheny Intermedite High
School
Once again we are planning to hold a Learn-By-Doing Throws Camp
for coaches and athletes (any athlete, including Jr. High). We
are scheduling the camp for Saturday and Sunday, JUNE 22,23,
2002 at North Allegheny Intermediate High School. (Due to
construction at the Senior High School, the clinic will be held
at the Intermediate High School on Cumberland Rd.) Registration
will begin at 9:00 a.m. with presentations beginning at 9:45
a.m. Our main objective is to provide the coach or athlete with
a sound base of knowledge regarding the throws. All age groups
(jr. high, high school, college,and masters) of athletes are
welcome. The cost would be $75 per coach and $100 per athlete.
Any coach bringing 5 or more athletes will be admitted free of
charge. We would appreciate your response as soon as possible.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
PRESENTATIONS:
9:45 a.m. UNTIL 2:30 p.m.
There will be a 30 min. lunch break. Bring food with you!
BRING A WATER BOTTLE!
T-SHIRTS: Thrower T-shirts will be
provided. Please indicate your size on the registration form.

*JAVELIN *WEIGHT/HAMMER (demo)
EQUIPMENT: Please bring your own equipment if possible.
Limited equipment will be available.
GROUPS: Please indicate the athlete’s main event and second
event on the form.*** IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO LEARN THREE EVENTS
IN ONE DAY.
THEREFORE, WE WOULD PREFER THAT EACH ATHLETE INDICATE THEIR MAIN
EVENT AND SECOND EVENT.
DIRECTIONS:
NORTH ALLEGHENY
INTERMEDIATE HIGH SCHOOL
INTERSTATE 79 -Go to Mt. Lebo exit.
(If coming from the South, turn right at the end of the ramp.If
coming from the North, turn left.) Go for approximately 1 mile.
Turn left onto the yellow belt (ARNDT RD.)At the top of the hill
turn right. Go approximately 4 miles. (You will cross an
intersection at Rochester Rd.) At the top of the hill at the
light, turn left onto Rt. 19. Go approximately 3 miles and turn
right at the light onto Cumberland Rd. (ACROSS FROM MAGOO’S
BAR
AND BISTRO). Go about 1/4 mile, the school will be on the
right. Go around the back of the building to the track.
TURNPIKE - Get off at Exit 3 and follow Rt. 19 South for
approximately 9 miles. (You will pass the High School. Go for
another 3-4 miles). Turn left at the light on Cumberland Rd.
(ACROSS FROM MAGOO’S BAR AND BISTRO). Go about 1/4 mile,
the
school will be on the right. Go around the back of the building
